Happiness Grows From Being Kind

Updated: Nov 23, 2021

Free activity sheet for introducing kids to the happy habit of Caring for Feelings

That calm, centre-point within each of us is what we call our Zenter. It’s our internal compass. And it’s either strengthened or weakened by our daily practices – our habits. The 9 happy habits are the practices that work together like spokes in a wheel to strengthen our Zenter. One of these happy habits is the practice of Being Kind.

Being Kind Means

Caring (for yourself, others + the earth),

giving, connecting, sharing

+ being a good friend

How Being Kind Works

Kindness is a core teaching of every spiritual philosophy in the world. It is a survival skill and a form of magic. Even seemingly small acts can have great energy and power. Kindness toward oneself leads to greater overall happiness and emotional resilience. When we are kind to each other both giver and receiver feel good, so the magic spreads and the energy grows.

Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness.

Every act creates a ripple with no logical end

- Scott Adams (cartoonist)

The most enlightened beings throughout history have told us to love others. According to the Law of Attraction, whatever we give we will receive; so, whatever we give to others, we give to ourselves. Give kindness through caring, giving, connecting or sharing and it comes back and multiplies itself.

All that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own

- Edwin Markham (poet)
